In early December, Otrada became one of the sponsors of the International scientific and practical conference on pig production "Being Flexible In the Face of Challenges — the Way to Sustainability and Development", traditionally jointly organized by the National Union of Swine Breeders and the International Industrial Academy, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The conference was attended by representatives of pig producers, veterinary companies, feed supplement manufacturers, breeding suppliers, industry unions, representatives of banks and other companies.

In his presentation, Commercial Director Ivan Ageev shared potential strategies for the support of genetic progress under the current circumstances, with the impossibility of importing and several genetic companies leaving the Russian market. Answering 3 important questions will allow Russian producers to understand from which step of the genetic pyramid they are getting animals, how the breeding goals relate to their company goals, and what method of transferring genetic progress (as well as whether or not that method is optimal at the moment) the supplier uses.
