In December, Anastasia Slobodskaya, Sales and Marketing director, took part in the XVI International scientific and practical conference "PIG BREEDING 2024. New input for development until 2030!?" in Moscow. This conference brings together industry experts and specialists to discuss key trends and issues of increasing the efficiency of pig breeding.

She spoke about the drivers of economic efficiency and the solutions offered by genetics. In order for genetics to produce the targeted results, breeding work should be based on rational principles: awareness of the characteristics of the production system and market needs, understanding the biological prerequisites for economically significant characteristics of the animal and their heritability, precise execution of routine daily tasks and accuracy of data, application of new technologies and scientific achievements when this becomes economically justified.

These are the principles that Otrada and its partners follow in their breeding work, improving the lines of pigs available to the market, increasing their strength and survivability, as well as productivity and economic efficiency.
